The entire process was smooth and painless, and his expertise made me feel very confident and assured. I had a very bad experience with Invisalign with another doctor that had no clue what she was doing. I was so frustrated and stressed out about the outcome which I was told by other Drs “were non-fixable” which was added stress. During my first visit to Dr Pong, he gave me three options. Mellisa did a great job cleaning my teeth. I like her professionalism. She has profound knowledge about what she is doing. Excellent dental care! Above & Beyond what you would normally experience. I have had many dentists over my lifetime, I am 62 and I always feel welcomed here, comfortable and the office is so very clean. Also never does Dr. Pong ever do any unnecessary dental work, he truly puts the patients needs above his own and I appreciate that. My dental hygienist Anna knows me on a personal level, she is funny and engaging and I truly feel relaxed and comfortable while she cleans my teeth. I live in Guelph but drive to Oakville for all things dental because the whole team is so amazing. Not only is it super clean and safe but they make it enjoyable and make you feel like you're part of the family. I was a newcomer, with a new dental coverage earned at work. Dr. Pong performed the same root canal for a whole year, at the end assuring me that the permanent fill was in place. Next year, unfortunately all my second shift at work has to be laid off, and I was having no more dental coverage. I was called by dentist's office, insisting to come for a routine check. I explained that I am not able to afford that anymore. After two years, I had to go to U of T Faculty of Dentistry: my root canal fill was not permanent, my jaw was having gangrene, abscessed all teeth, and I had 9 extractions in the same day. I'd been this "intellectual's" patient in 2008.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Pong’s office. Everyone is so caring and professional. All the covid19 measures are perfectly in place. Everyone has a smile on their face and you have the ease of mind that you’re in good hands. I am a recent patient and on my first visit I got my teeth cleaned and the result was far better than any cleaning I’ve done anywhere else. Also, I had a general check up done by Dr. Pong. He went over all the details about the current state of my teeth patiently and told me our plan for fixing some of the issues in the recent future. Definitely recommended.

My children and I recently return to the dentist for our first appointment since the start of the Pandemic. Our experience was excellent from beginning to end. The use of technology to confirm the appointments and to communicate when we arrived was ideal. The office was spotless. I felt like we were entering a surgical suite. Even with all of the precautions, the staff (from front desk to back office) maintained a high level of friendliness. The hygienists did a great job cleaning our teeth. This office is beautiful and I felt safe as far as health and safety concerns go. Diana is very helpful at the front desk. My first cleaning here was fantastic. Carrie showed great knowledge and answered all my concerns and questions. I told her I prefer a more vigorous cleaning method/pressure and she delivered very well. I will for sure be telling my friends and co-workers about this dentist office.On a side note, Dr. Pong alleviated my left side tooth pain from another dentist’s work. This dentist is simply a level above the rest. I went to two dentists who did not dare to extract my wisdom tooth and referred me to dental surgeon because it's close to a nerve bundle. Dr Poon, my last hope, saw the x-ray and was confident he could do it with aplomb. When I extracted my right wisdom tooth a decade ago, it was a horrible experience. That xxx used brute force the entire time and it took 3 days for the wound to heal. Dr poon approached my extraction like Picasso, taking out the top tooth in 30 seconds! The bottom tooth was more challenging but he never resorts to brute force. He drilled and attacked the tooth from multiple angles to minimize the wound. Even though there was a slight complication, he decided to take a X-ray in the middle of surgery and replanned his line of attack to extract it successfully. That xxx dentist who encountered the same complication just resorted to heavier tools that created such a big wound. I could eat properly after 6 hours after Dr poon but I can't eat until after 3 days with xxx dentist. If you are referred to dental surgeon, I strongly recommed you look for Dr poon and you end up saving $ and waiting less at the end.
